Damnoen saduak floating market. Many people do not like to go to a tourist spot. They don’t like the crowds, too far away, the weather, the traffic, the food and everything is overpriced. They are right, but sometimes it is fun.
Thailand has the Damnoen Saduak Floating Market. In the mid-1800s this 20-mile canal took 2 years to build during the reign of King Rama IV. He had the canal dug to connect one river to another one so the communities could trade with each other. The same thing as any county road in Missoura. Today people live densely along both sides of the canal from one end to the other and grow fruit and vegetables. This road also provides farmers with water for crops year around.
This colorful fruit, vegetable and trinket market is crowded with local vendors in small rowing boats and numerous shops along the riverbanks. Plenty of excitement from early morning till noon. 007 probably worked longer hours as this is where a scene from The Man with the Golden Gun was filmed.
